we can’t handle the truth about abortion…
Wednesday is late term abortion day at Orlando Women’s Center (the clinic where I had my abortions 12 years ago). When I first started visiting the sidewalks of abortion clinics to pray and minister, I had NO idea that late term abortions were even legal. I remember hearing about the Partial Birth Abortion Ban in 2007 and assumed (like most) that this stopped abortions late in a woman’s pregnancy.
Shock can’t even begin to describe my feeling when I first counseled on late term day. “These girls are SO pregnant”, I kept thinking to myself. Of course that’s silly since there’s no such thing as being a “little pregnant”, but I couldn’t get over the size of their beautiful bellies so full of LIFE. These women have felt their babies kick. Many of them even know the sex of the child and this is sometimes the reason for the abortion. These girls have carried these babies for 6 months. They are more than halfway done!
I just cried and cried. I couldn’t even speak at first. Not only is the size of their bellies overwhelming but the hardness of their hearts is just as shocking. I began to think about family members, friends, and co-workers of these girls who know they are pregnant. Is our society so lacking of accountability that they will return to their lives and no one will think this is a problem?
This past Wednesday my friend John posted a picture of a girl who arrived at OWC to abort her twin baby girls. She already had daughters and didn’t want anymore. She was about 20 weeks along, but because she was pregnant with twins, she had a BIG belly. Within a few hours, the picture went viral. I began to get phone calls & emails from friends who had no idea this was going on. Many offered financial help and MANY offered to adopt her babies. Thousands of people all of over the world were praying that this girl would change her mind…and thousands were saying the picture was a hoax or that what she was doing was illegal.
I found myself repeating over and over again, “Abortion is legal in America up to the day you give birth.” In fact, in our nation’s capital, there are 2 doctors who “specialize” in abortions this late in pregnancy. One of those doctors has been working with a suspended license for several years. The Partial Birth Abortion Ban only stopped the use of that procedure late in a woman’s pregnancy. Now, as long as the baby is dismembered BEFORE removing he or she from the womb, it’s perfectly legal. Look up the laws in your state. Keep in mind that any state that has exceptions for the health of the mother can mean that if a woman has bad heartburn that’s a threat to her health. A late term abortion starts around $2,000 and can go up to about $15,000 depending on how far along a woman is in her pregnancy.
I’ve been to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. They have piles and piles of hair shaved off of Jews in the concentration camps. They have millions of pairs of shoes belonging to children who were killed simply because they were Jewish. The pictures of thousands of dead bodies piled on top of each other are shocking and appalling. At one point I decided I couldn’t look anymore. I was disgusted that this could happen without a revolution rising to overthrow a government that would accept murder as status quo.
I know it’s controversial to say this, but abortion truly is the holocaust of my generation. What if we had the bodies of 50,000,000 babies piled on top of each other in a museum somewhere? What if we took all of the clothes they will never wear and toys they will never play with and you had to pay to see them? If each of us had to watch a late term abortion, surely there would be a revolution, right?
After the Holocaust ended, German civilians were taken to Buchenwald concentration camp to see the atrocities that happened there. Over and over they were heard saying, “We didn’t know.” Now, because of the internet and social media, we have no excuse for ignorance. The hands of America are covered with blood…perhaps her eyes and ears are covered as well.
The girl I mentioned earlier ended up aborting the twin girls in her womb even though we had every kind of help she would ever need ready for her. She admitted that she didn’t want girls and that she had no compassion for the babies she was carrying. Through a 2 day process, she actually had to go into labor and deliver her sweet babies into a toilet. Abortions like these happen ALL over the country EVERYDAY. I hope that this girl’s picture made many SO outraged that they are provoked to DO something. When I spend hours on the Planned Parenthood sidewalk alone, I want to cry out “WHERE IS THE CHURCH??”
“America will not reject abortion until America SEES abortion.” ~ Father Frank Pavone

Very powerful, great work.
Oh Kelly! Thank you for continuing to expose this horror. Thank you for fighting for the babies.
I can not understand this woman’s decision. They say it’s a choice….well, she made the wrong choice in every possible way, despite all the offers of help from so many. What was she afraid of? Labor? She’s been thru that twice now, so what’s the big deal for her? My mother had 3 kids and she never regretted it, not even during the pain. WAKE UP AMERICA! ABORTION IS NOT CONTRACEPTION!!!!!
Labor is always a big deal. What on earth?
Labor is not really a big deal. I have four children. My children are a big deal. Labor was not. I think you missed the point of the comment…
ok labor is pretty horrendous….having been through a horrible one myself in which it took my body 8 months and dozens of physical therapy sessions to feel 90% healed. not justifying her actions, i disagree with them. but your argument doesn’t hold up.
She had to go through labor to have the abortion. Either way she was going to have to deal with some pain.
thanks kelly!! this just broke my heart when i saw this on Facebook yesterday. i really don’t care what anyone says, they are not christians and followers of Jesus if they can also say they have no compassion for the precious babies in their wombs. it’s not about her want for more girls, it’s about God’s plan and his gifts of precious life. i hope that one day she can find peace. i know from experience that even when we think we’re ok with what we’ve done, or we’ve gotten over it, we can become self-destructive to repress the grief and guilt we feel for what we’ve done. i pray she truly finds Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much for shedding light on this…
how someone can even think about having an abortion just makes me sick abortion is wrong it does not matter how far along you are a baby is a baby a baby is a gift from god to all these woman who thinks of abortion think on this what if your mother had thought the same thing you would not have been born no matter how a baby has been conceived by you willing to have sex or by rape a child has a right to be born you do not have the right to choose to kill your baby that is a ugly word to some murder its not a baby guess what it is a baby murder is murder it does not matter if the child is in the mothers belly or already born there is to many people who would give your child a wonderful home and love if you dont want your child let someone who cant have a child adopt yours i dont believe people are aware of what an abortion can do to you i will be praying for the ones who are thinking of getting an abortion that you will please reconsider i will also be praying for the ones that has had an abortion that god will be with you i want you to know god will forgive you if you are truly sorry and will help you have peace
Heartbreaking.
Thank you Kelly, I am in awe of what you do, and I am ashamed of our country, and ashamed of me. I hope to meet you someday at OWC, I’ve not been there as often as I’d like, you, Deanna, and John are my heros, thank you.
Thanks Kelly… People need to know… They all think that abortion is sixteen year old girls in trouble… A worker told me that this was the second time this girl aborted twins there…
I didn’t know. I really didn’t know. I thought that you couldn’t HAVE an abortion after a certain point. Not that I think it’s ok at any point, but…. I’m in utter shock, and my heart wants to cry “It’s not true. It CAN’T be true.”…but somehow, I know it is. Heartwrenching.
Thank you for this post. I saw her picture on facebook and admit I wondered if it was real. But..I didn’t forget. Later that night, I searched again and all over to find out that I too, had no idea how many abortions take place-how late in term they do them-and how the procedures are actually done. I forced myself to watch a video showing one. I listened to calls to 911 about babies being “aborted” alive. I read pages from the clinics sites to be informed what they were telling these women. My eyes are now opened. I don’t know what I will or can do about it right now-but I can pray and I can share what I have learned with others like me who might not have ever realized the horrors. I will say that as much as my heart goes out to the babies-I also felt for the Moms and even the doctors. “They know not what they do”. They can’t.
I agree with your sentiment, but they are NOT “moms”.
let us not demonize these women. they ARE mom’s, even if they don’t want to recognize it. may we have the same compassion towards them that Jesus STILL has towards them.
I was praying for her as the picture was posted on facebook. This is heartwrenching.
I guess I take for granted that Americans realize our laws allow for abortions throughout an entire pregnancy for any reason. You can do an internet search for late term abortion providers, and several come up in various parts of the country. One advertises abortions done up to 36 weeks, which is the beginning of the ninth month of pregnancy. A baby this age is quite viable and able to survive outside the womb. Babies much younger can typically survive as well.
Babies as young as 20 weeks have been shown to feel pain, and it could certainly be even younger. They also have a hyper sensitivity to pain, so they feel pain worse than what we would. Our laws allow the most innocent among us to be horrifically tortured to death.
Thanks. You are right about the holocaust. We are killing humans and we’ve become immune to it. So sad. Yes, we are all sinners and we all sin – but calling this “women’s healthcare” is just plain sugar coating death. Thanks. I will be sharing.
Why can’t mothers cannot give their babies to infertile couples? Childbirth is natural, abortion has so many long term complications. They can be a true hero in their child’s lives and the adopting parents.
The hideousness is not seen, the mother pays the doctor (who took an oath to do no harm). It would be different if the mother was handed the child, she can look at the child’s innocence, would she then go through with it? Would she then pronounce the death sentence? Yes, please kill this child? (forgive my bluntness–I know there are many women in crisis were counseled to get an abortion as if it was just a blob of cells, and learned the truth later and have great remorse).
One doctor who’s patient was pregnant with a second child, rationalizing that she could not have another child besides her 2 year old and wanted an abortion. The doctor offered her “the wisdom of Solomon” He said, “Why don’t we kill your 2 year old instead? Then you’ll have over 3 months to prepare for this baby, you all ready have all the clothes, and the experience of being a mother.” The woman got it. She did not abort her baby.
May we elect pro-life officials!
God bless
I love the way you’re submitting to the Master and shining light on the evil deeds committed in the darkness. People need to know, and the church needs to wke up.Thank you, sweet little sister.<3
I remember going to Washington D.C. in the late in the early 80′s with my two young children to visit Congressman and asking them to please put a stop to abortion; with my children asking as well. I cannot understand how abortion in the United States still exists after the many prayers and petitions and efforts of us who oppose it. Why have our prayers and efforts not put a stop to this atrocity? WHY! WHY! WHY!
Who will or can explain why the CHURCH has no power to change this?! God is able to do exceedingly above anything thing we might ask? Is the fault ours? It must be–right? I think this one issue has harmed my faith more than all the horrors I have had to endure in this terrible life. I wonder if the church is weak because they have compromised by becoming 501c organizations rather than holy vessels unto God? IS that why? Just a few questions born out of frustration.
In response to: “Why have our prayers and efforts not put a stop to this atrocity? WHY! WHY! WHY!”
Because of free will. God can do anything, but there are so many people out there that do not want his help or don’t believe in Him at all. We have to come to him, not the other way around. This world is filled with evil and I truly believe that the USA has become Satans playground. The majority in this country is all about me, me, me and instant gratification. They are all in for a very rude awakening when the Lord comes to call his children home, because so many will have a one way ticket going the other way.
Yes…free will. I too am against abortion except for in cases of rape, incest or impending death of the mother or child and I too would never get a late term abortion. But I also under stand that the same free will that allows me to get a divorce, go to the club, drink alcohol, curse, have per-marital sex, etc… Is the same free will these women are exercising. Why won’t the church spend as much energy on stamping out ALL sins instead of the ones most people don’t identify with? I have never had an abortion and don’t plan on it but if it were medically necessary would you ask me why? Would you taunt me in the parking lot? Would you hold your signs outside the door in front of the face of a rape victim, child of incest, or mother who will die as a result of her pregnancy. This is why I will pray for these young ladies but not try and take away their free will and not make them feel judged. You don’t know why they are there. Many of you spend so much time focused on other people’s sins that you don’t even have time to fix your own. With that being said, once I see as many church folk advocating to make divorce, cheating, premarital sex, overeating, disrespecting your parents, etc… a crime, then I will know that you have a genuine want to stamp out ALL sin. Until then, I will continue to be a support for women who are comfortable sharing their plight and wanting prayer.
Oh and the US became Satans playground when they beat, hung, raped, and killed slaves for hundreds of years. I don’t think abortion kicked that off.
Church’s are tax exempt. Therefore these organizations should never have a say on how the government functions.
City owned businesses are tax exempt, non profit organizations are tax exempt too.. Yet most of those organizations also weigh in on Political issues, why can’t the church? They just don’t because they are afraid to lose members who don’t want to hear the real truth. The truth shall setup free, not the cover up or not saying anything. We need to rise up and support people like Kelly and the others who speak up for those who will never have a voice of their own.
Have any of you ever stopped to think that maybe your prayers aren’t working because this is what God wants? I’m sure you won’t believe it, but maybe you all don’t know what God wants, You only think you do.
REALLY?? Do you honestly think this is Biblical??
That might be the most ignorant statement I have ever heard in my life. God clearly states he hates murder.
that may be the most evil statement i’ve ever heard as well…
Honestly, there are a lot of people who are anti-abortion who do not even believe in God. Murder is murder whether you think a higher power is involved or not.
Vicky, are you serious?
Just because Churches are tax exempt, why would that make a difference in trying to save babies from Murder?
Abortion is not your business.
Vicky: So if many people in your hometown were being raped and the church knew who was doing it, they should stay silent?
What about if your neighbor was murdered. Should the church stay silent?
That’s what happened in the holocaust. The German stayed largely quiet.
Vicky, maybe you don’t understand. When people say things like, “where was the church”, “why doesn’t the church do something”, they are referring to a group of people not an organization. It is synonymous with saying “Where are all of the Christians?”.
when it comes to abortion, i am very pro-choice. EXCEPT, and i know this is going to sound like i’m waffling…EXCEPT late term abortions. THESE ARE BABIES. This is when you can HONESTLY SAY that these are children, some of these babies could live outside the mothers womb. This type of abortion MUST be stopped. THIS? This, to me, is murder.
So when, exactly, do they become babies? Where’s the line? I think it’s “waffling” to have unprotected sex and then terminate the results of being irresponsible.
Melissa, I respect your opinion. Think about watching this short film (it’s free at this link), and listen as he talks about that particular stance. http://180movie.com/
No baby is viable outside the womb on its own. Whether in the womb or a few months old the baby relies on its mother for survival. It is not viable after birth any more or less than one in the womb.
I am pro choice as well and I agree with you 100%. As soon as this baby is viable outside of the womb he/she is being murdered if aborted. Personally, anything past the first trimester is more difficult for me to understand, but the decision belongs to the mother alone.
God bless you. I lost two siblings to abortion, and I feel guilty sometimes for being the one that survived. No-one is doing their children a favor by aborting their siblings, and I know many disagree, but there is no excuse for abortion.
Kelly! This is amazing! I will share on FB, but PLEASE add the buttons to your blog so we can do this.
))
Thank you for being there. I hope to be there soon, too. Until then, THANK YOU for being there.
How do I share this on my face book page…? Thank you for this..
I have two face book pages my personal under Lisa Coomer (Knoxville TN) or my business page.. Knoxville home birth services. Thank you again. Lisa
Lisa, just copy link and post that into your status update.
Those babies… my heart is breaking…
This brought tears to my eyes. You are so right! You put it perfectly.
What you’re saying is true – people should not be able to have abortions just because they feel like it. However, there MUST be some kind of provision for rape and incest and life of the mother. There must.
Did you ever hear of Ethel Waters, great opera singer? She was child of rape. Can you say her life didn’t matter?
I didn’t say her life didn’t matter. But how about the woman who was raped? What if it’s a young girl? What if she’s the victim of incest? What if she is going to lose her life if she delivers that baby? Think through it before you condemn all termination.
One crime doesn’t justify another. Many rape and incest victims find comfort and healing in through the act of giving life. To see something beautiful come out of something so ugly can bring about closure to a rape/incest victim. Child birth is a natural healthy function, but abortion compounds the emotional toll of such grievous acts, not only was she hurt/abused, she has now hurt another human being in her suffering. Removing the baby doesn’t remove the problem.
There are many who can’t bear the thought of carrying a rapists child. What about them?
What does that mean anyway, “bear the thought”? What if a woman became pregnant and then she broke up with her boyfriend/divorced her husband. Just because a woman hates that father doesn’t justify killing her own child. I didn’t say it would be easy to bear a child conceived in rape or incest, but it’s not just a “rapist’s child” it’s her child also.
Kristin S and MommyK,
I suggest you study up on the emotional effects of Post abortion Syndrome. If you honestly think that emotionally it is better for a woman to abort a rapist’ child, then you do not care for the woman at all. In the long term studies and personal accounts have shown that in later years it truly affects the woman, now not only carrying the load she feels from the rape/incest, but also now from the abortion. Even if sh was pro-choice before hand, she feels it. She knows it was her baby. And it kills her every day. I volunteered at a crisis pregnancy center for several years and you HAVE NO IDEA how many women I hugged, and cared for and counseled who had had abortions (and yes, two in particular from incest, one from her uncle and another from her father), and every one of them was suicidal years later and trying to get pregnant again to “replace” the baby they aborted. DO NOT assume abortion is the best choice for those women. Do your research on how it effects them long term.
Ethel Waters was born to a teen mom who was raped. The whole world owes a debt to her mom for the blessing of Ethel Waters.
It’s not the child’s fault in ANY case or situation that results in a pregnancy. ABORTION. IS. MURDER. PERIOD. The Bible is very black and white on this not a shade of gray that every HUMAN man and woman on this earth needs to decide where to draw their own line. God is the giver of life and we have no right in any circumstance to take it away.
There is no way in hell that your (probably fictional) woman delivered her fetuses into a toilet as part of a legal abortion at 20 weeks in the USA. You are either a lying liar who lies or very, very gullible.
Lyngay, why do you think she is lying? Here are some resources if you don’t believe late term abortions occur in our country.
http://news.yahoo.com/appeals-court-blocks-arizonas-term-abortion-ban-004312361.html, http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/10/most-late-term-abortions-are-not-done-for-medical-reasons/, http://www.lifesitenews.com/blog/the-most-heartrending-abortion-testimony-youll-ever-hear-from-a-former-abor/
If it is for some other reason that you believe she is lying, please share so we can correct or debunk the myth.
Thank you
I was thinking the exact same thing. While I don’t deny a late term abortion happened in this situation, her babies were definitely NOT delivered into a toilet bowl. Another scare tactic against women’s rights.
Kristin,
Why do you think those babies from rape and incest should die a brutal death and pay for the sins of their fathers?
To Lyngay…..check out the transcripts for the Carol Howard lawsuit from last summer where the owner (James Pendergraft)of Orlando Women’s Center and four other mills here in Florida was sued over 36 million dollars for a botched abortion. His abortionist Randall Whitney describes babies born alive wiggling in the toilet. You might also want to check out the Baby Rowan story: (http://www.operationrescue.org/archives/baby-rowan%E2%80%99s-autopsy-report-confirms-part-of-mother%E2%80%99s-story/)
People need to realize that this is NOT UNCOMMON…..here in the state of Florida it is legal to kill human beings developing in the womb until 24 weeks (but we know they do them further then that).
If that was the case why wait til the baby is even fully developed? If it was rape or incest and they KNOW for a fact they don’t want it they should not wait 4 or 5 months.
Candace, I fully agree with you. If they know they are pregnant before that time, they they should not be forced into having an unwanted baby born of violence. If I had a young daughter – let’s say 13, for the sake of example – I would not force her to have a child and go through that mentally and physically. To me, abortion is not “right” but in some cases, we must make it available.
It all depends on who you believe is the creator of life. I believe that God is the creator of life. While I don’t understand why He would allow life to be created from such a horrible event as rape/incest, what I do understand about God shapes the way I view all that I don’t understand. I understand that He is good, everything He does is good, every gift from Him is good, He has great purpose for everything He allows in my life, when I was in My mothers womb He ordained all the days of my life before I took my first breath and that means He saw every moment, every detail as He planned it out from first breath to last and everything in between.
So even though I don’t understand why He would create a life as a result of rape or incest I trust in what i do understand about him. At the same time to heap the trauma of abortion on a girl/woman already dealing with the trauma of rape/incest is a horrible thing- getting rid of “the evidence” of the first trauma would only compound the devastating wounds.
I would humbly ask you folks that advocate abortions for the sake of rape or incest to please speak to a survivor from rape and incest….Juda Myers (she was not killed by abortion), (http://www.juda4praise.com/). Try explaining to Juda why she should not have been allowed to be born. Juda is not the only survivor out there either. So when you advocate a rape or incest clause….you are saying to these survivors that they should not have had the chance to be born. I think you will find they feel a bit differently then you.
Google Rebecca Kiessling. She is a lawyer and a mother. And a human being conceived from rape. Her birth mother told her that if abortion had been legal in Michigan in the 60′s Rebecca would be dead. Thank God it wasn’t and Rebecca was born and placed for adoption. Today she and her birth mother are very close and her birth mom is glad Rebecca wasn’t put to death for her father’s crimes. Abortion does NOT “undo” rape. It victimizes the woman further and kills a completely innocent human child.
I say you can’t possibly judge unless you’ve been in her shoes. Stop trying to legislate every woman’s body.
It is each woman’s right to choose. Stop judging and focus on yourself and your family. Pushing your beliefs on others is just as wrong. live and let live.
Did you mean live and let die?
I will admit that I am pro-choice…to a point. But can you really read this article (assuming it to be true) and still feel “live-and-let-live” about it? I can sympathize with a rape victim or even someone who just made a mistake they regret, but do you really feel nothing for the baby that is LITERALLY murdered? I mean, to feel a baby kick or actually see them move before being aborted and not feel anything? I really think there’s something wrong there. I’m not trying to judge anyone, but honestly isn’t that borderline sociopathy?
To be “pro choice” to a point? As long as one cannot see or feel the baby moving it doesn’t exist? At conception the baby begins to grow, very rapidly in fact, until it is ready to be born. At any stage of pregnancy, one month or nine months,an abortion kills an innocent human life. It stops a beating heart! A child born from incest or rape is as human, and has as much a right to live as a king’s child or a president’s child!! Follow Rebecca Kiesling on facebook. She can tell you her story. She is now an attorney with three beautiful children.
This is the first sensible comment I’ve seen here.
What about the rights of the baby? As far as I’m concerned, the woman made her “choice” when she decided to have unprotected sex. Her choices should stop there. As far as rape goes, there is always adoption. I know many people who would love to adopt, myself included. I don’t care who you are, when you decide to kill an innocent life, there is something terribly wrong, you have no concience or heart. All of the pro-choice women screaming to have their “choices” are in fact killing little unborn girls (and boys) who would love to have the choice to live.
Abortion is sad. But do you know what is even worse? Misinformation. Abortion is NOT legal up to the birth date. Where did you get that information from? Also – Why is there a doctor performing abortions with a suspended license? If that were true you would easily be able to stop him by notifying the authorities. You are no better than the doctor for knowing this information (if it is even true) and not doing anything about it.
Finally – Comparing abortion to the holocaust? That is just terrible that you would compare the two.
It’s good you try to influence people with christian values as most of the value christians share are good. But when you lie and exaggerate just to get the point across. You’ve just de-valued the whole article and now I will never trust anything you say.
I feel bad for the people that are just blindly reading this and believing you.
Vicki, you are going to have to do your homework. Let me help you just a little bit: http://latetermabortion.net/
That site is by the abortionist who owns the abortuary where the mother murdered her twins, James Scott Pendergraft. His license is suspended. You can google “james pendergraft” to do some research for yourself. He mostly hires other ‘doctors’ to do the killing for him.
“The State of Florida does not allow abortions to be performed after 24 weeks.”
Quote taken directly off of the website you just posted. I’m not in favor of abortions but many of the comments on this website do not fall in line with how Christ would voice a opposition to abortion.
To get an abortion past 24 weeks, you go through latetermabortion.net. The same doctor from Florida does late term abortions in Washington, DC & that is his website.
The quote I posted was from the latetermabortions.net They say on their website that it is illegal after 24 weeks look at the faq’s on the website.
Taken directly from the website: “It is absolutely legal to have a late term and third trimester therapeutic abortion performed in certain States in an outpatient setting. The facility and place where the intra-cardiac injection will be carried out is one where the procedure is absolutely legal to perform.”
“Abortion is legal in America up to the day you give birth.”
This article is full of misinformation, and you Patte, need to do you homework and actually look at the law.
As of April 2007, 36 states had bans on late-term abortions and 13 states prohibit abortion after a certain number of weeks’ gestation (usually 24 weeks). Nine states have laws that require a second physician to be present during late-term abortion procedures in order to treat a fetus if born alive.
Abortion IS legal up until birth in several US states. The law states that abortion can be performed at any time if the health of the mother is in jeopardy. This means, that if the woman is distraught and emotional, a doctor could claim that the pregnancy is the cause of her psychological turmoil, and the abortion (even in the third trimester) would be approved.
I believe Kelly 100% and why is the slaughter of 50,000,000 not bad?
Vicky, I’m sorry to inform you that you are wrong. I live in DC where not only is abortion legal through the ninth month, but the law was just voted on again this month, and the majority voted to keep all late term abortions legal. There are many abortion “doctors” practicing without a license and illegally. The US is the ONLY industrialized, first world country to allow all abortions, even those only based on the sex of the baby. This article was great. It is time we stop being complacent about the murder going on every day. The numbers are staggering. In NYC, the majority of babies are aborted. The world has not seen the amount of deaths as what our nation commits with abortion.
There were many more practicing illegally before abortion was made legal. Don’t kid yourselves, people. Women had abortions long before abortion was legal, since the beginning of time, even. Making it illegal won’t stop abortion, it will only stop safe abortions.
Unfortunately, that is not true. Since the introduction of birth control pills, other easy forms of birth control, and then legalizing abortions, the number of abortions have SKYROCKETED. Not just a little bit, but millions more. Perhaps we need more people willing to explain the facts. Abortions were much, much more rare beforehand. And a woman just died the other day getting an abortion at Planned Parenthood, so this is not a guaranteed safe procedure. Also, they have medically determined that a baby can feel pain by 8 weeks pregnant. And all neurological development concerning pain is complete by (at the very latest) 13 weeks pregnant. So, these babies feel everything. Not only that, but if babies survive abortions (which happens all the time), the “doctor” or “nurses” kill them outside of the womb instead of trying to save them. It is a sick and twisted underworld of mass baby murders. This issue is a heart issue. People know they are babies who are alive and have feelings and they don’t care. That is why this is so horrifying.
The pro-abortion folks just show how really uninformed they are.
Shameful and sad.
Oh man; so much misinformation under the guise of facts.
Vicki Gordon
Just a thought on abortion for those that don’t think abortion is murder , should go to the abortion clinic and watch them perform the abortions, and if they did , I’m sure they would come back with a different OF opinion, my son Robert was
supposed to be an abortion his biological mother was going to abort him
I went and collected all the literature that I could find. And I took it to her ,but I didn’t give it to her in
her hand, I read it to her, I read about the suction how it sucked the little body parts all to pieces, I read about the saline solution how the salt just literally burn the baby up a live, and how painful that must’ve been for that poor little baby, and how partial-birth abortions. how they deliver the baby feet first alive baby ,A nine month baby and then, they take scissors and poking the back of the skull, and then they will suck the little babies brains out, and then they finished delivering the baby they say just because the baby’s head is still in the mother that it is not murder it’s an abortion, my friend ABORTION IS MURDER .!! LIFE BEGINS WHEN THE SPERM MEETS THE EGG ,AND when you suck the brains out of a nine month baby —-THAT IS MURDER — THE DOCTOR THAT PEFORMS THE ABORTION AND THE MOTHER THAT HAS IT DONE———THEY ARE BOUTH —–M-U-R-D=-E-R-S .!!! BUT I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR ANYONE THAT MAY HAVE HAD THAT DONE, OR BEEN FORCED TO HAVE THAT DONE ___________ YES JESUS STILL LOVES YOU ____and yes he will forgive you. If you come to him in true repentance. YES Jesus will forgive you GOD HATES THE SIN BUT HE LOVES THE SINNER, THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN separate you from the love of God ,WE ARE HIS creation and he loves us
LEAVE MY COMMENT AS IS OR DELETE IT ALL…
300,000 or more abortions per year is not equal to the holocaust?? Abortion is murder! And while you may doubt this lady’s comments, you cannot deny the numbers of innocent lives taken just for convenience and mega bucks for PP.
Two points. One, this is purly about money. At the dollars you mentioned in the begining of the story says there is a lot of money on the table much of which is from tax payers.
The other point is where are the women’s rights groups that would allow such a thing be done to…well women. Little women. Women not yet born but women none the less. The point is this is NOT about women’s rights but “MY” rights and everyone else can go…well, somewhere else.
Omg I never knew… This is appalling… I mean I’m not for or against abortion but to wait that long. I couldn’t imagine doing that D:
Thinking of little Baby Rowan today. He died a terrible death when he was delivered into the toilet ALIVE at the sister clinic to the one where this woman slaughtered her twin girls.

Thank you, Kelly, for speaking the truth in defense of these innocent children, for the glory of Jesus Christ, the Lord of Life!
God loves abortions and dead babies
Thank you for getting this information out there. This is my passion also. To call the church to wake up and start fighting for the unborn- to take up their cause, to be their voice.
We need to speak the truth- regardless of whether it offends people or makes them uncomfortable.
God will hold us accountable if we do nothing to defend these precious babies. Proverbs 24:10-12
The article and others keep saying “toilet” delivered into a toilet 1/2 full of water. In the end, it doesn’t really make a difference, but I am curious…why toilet? I saw videos with a bucket of water…I saw a tour of an abortion clinic-and none of the procedure rooms had a toilet in them-so can someone explain that part please? Thanks.
12 years ago I was in that clinic. I don’t have pictures to prove anything, but I have my experience…and it was toilets. Even the abortion doctor, Randall Whitney, gave a sworn statement in a courtroom that “live babies wiggle around in toilets.”
At 27 weeks pregnant with my first child… I cannot fathom the hardened heart one must have to destroy the life growing within them. I feel my son move all throughout the day, I feel when he has hiccups. I laugh when his movements tickle, and take joy when they are uncomfortable. Even inside the womb, I am getting an idea of his personality. He is a precious gift from God! How anyone can take a life out of pure convenience, is beyond my ability to imagine. Further, I do not wish to be able to imagine it. I know so many women who are unable to conceive and their hearts ache to have a child. Why oh why can’t these women just wait and deliver these children. Let their “mistake” be someone else’s gift and blessing! My heart aches for our country and the fact that we’ve allowed ourselves to be hardened by being PC, and adopting the policy that “it’s none of our business what someone else does.” Our rights only extend as far as the next person’s begin, and that tiny baby has rights!
Kelly,
Thanks for sharing and for the courage to do what you’re doing. Thinking people know abortion is infanticide and anyone willing to engage in a debate devoid of emotions and exist solely in the realm of facts knows abortion is indefensible. But we need to be reminded about the emotions of it all, too. It’s one of the beautiful things about being human.
Keep up the good work and fighting for those little babies’ lives!
Actually, heartburn isn’t an acceptable reason for late term abortions. The mother’s life has to be in danger. If you’re going to spew hypocritical judgement, at least check your facts.
Hyperbole is the only thing these people know.
Have you enjoyed commenting on every single negative comment?
“Rgese people” are very aware of the abortion $$$ business. You could do yourself good by becoming educated on the topic.
iOS. I meant “these people.”
I wish that they could show the stacks of aborted babies so that everyone could get a mental picture of how sick it is to kill innocent babies all because they made a choice to have sex unprotected , they should have to own up to there responsibility. And as for the ones who didn’t have a choice and were forced, i still feel it’s an innocent life.
I saw one video that said that the aborted babies are ground up in a garbage disposal. I found that (along with the toilet comments) so hard to believe. I’m not saying it’s not true-just so hard to believe. I’m not sure why. If one is willing to rip a babies limbs off and pull it out of the uterus piece by piece-why would it so shock me that the same might crush up that babies body or allow it to die in a toilet of water.
Thank you for sharing truth.
My heart breaks for all of those babies!
Yes, there are hard hearts of these women who choose to kill their unborn child. However, my heart aches for them as well. They carry the scars of what they did. This pain is a pain that will never go away. They may try to forget and they may try to push it away, but the reality of it remains. May they turn to the God of all Comfort to heal.
I’ve known about abortion since I was 5 years old, & no one had to explain to me at this young age that this was wrong. My parents had me protesting right alongside them in Las Vegas & it was MY choice to do so. People were shocked to see such a little girl holding signs displaying the horror of abortion, & couldn’t fathom my parents allowing me to be exposed to the truth at such a young age. What should be more shocking to our society is that children who haven’t even been given the option to breath are being exposed to this horror. I don’t think we should try to “protect” our children from the truth if the system in which they are growing up in is teaching them that there is nothing wrong with it. There was a time we could trust that people could decipher right from wrong, but we are far removed from that time, if such a time ever existed. We desperately need the Creator of life to come restore order. It seems our current system is hellbent on destroying it. Truth hurts, but thank you for being willing to share it!
When I was 18 years old, I was raped. As a result, I became pregnant and I had no idea what to do! I was terrified to tell anyone, not even those closest to me. I kept my prenancy a complete secret for the first 28 weeks! I admittedly considered all my “choices”, but I couldn’t go through with abortion. I even got very close to adoption, but God softened my heart! I chose to keep my son who is now 5 and my absolute joy! Some days are still difficult, but he is always my reminder that no matter what difficulties I may face, there is always good that can come from it! God, if you let Him, can always make a blessing out of a painful situation!
God bless you for your courage and mercy to raise the child.
You did the right thing. God bless you.
We as a society have allowed this to happen. It is horrific that we can grant one life a choice and yet deny the choice of the other life. We continue to elect leaders who vote to continue these practices. Why is it that so little has been done politically to get rid of abortion since Roe v Wade? I tend try to follow political careers but for the most part laws get past to help those performing or desiring abortions but rarely do laws get passed to help protect the unborn baby.
I bet if someone wanted to murder a horses baby while still inside of her, activist groups around the country would have a fit. Why can’t we have that same fit for the unborn baby in a woman.
Abortion is just a sad sad thing and most people will close their eyes and ears to anything they would feel bad about if they actually thought about it.
My mom was 15 in 1971 when she stood up to my grandmother about NOT going and having an abortion. She was 16 when she had me and because we lived in a very small western community we were the “trash.” If she could raise me in the 1970′s in a VERY close minded community, I feel little empathy for those who chose to kill their unborn.
Had mom went through with this, I would not have been able to ADOPT my 5 children! I am no less important than any famous people, just less known.
Perhaps each state needs to begin a pile of old plastic baby dolls on a piece of private property (wonder if you could get a permit to have it displayed as “art” somewhere with high visibility) to represent the abortions in that state since Roe vs Wade and then we can keep a tally on a website with an up to date photo of each state’s pile.
From an adopted 24 year-old, THANK YOU for writing this. I thank God regularly that I was spared from abortion and am so thankful for the testimony He’s given me.
I had to watch “The Silent Scream” for a class in high school — the ethics portion of our senior Bible class. My classmates were stunned by the graphic nature of it (so was I, even though I knew exactly what the procedure was). Three people in my class left the room, and one guy fainted. You’re exactly right — people won’t get the violence and horror of abortion until they see it.
Thank you for sharing and for your witness. I pray God continues to use you in a mighty way.
Due to health reasons I am not able to have any more children of my own and I would love to. Is there any way to approach these women and offer to adopt their child. Are there any services that seek out these women so their child’s life can be a blessing to another woman’s, instead of just flushing it down the toilet. Any links, info would help.
Who the hell does your friend ‘John’ think he is taking pictures of women going to a clinic?
This is what – as a European – we think is the biggest problem with the US christian right. So many are hypocrites:
They’ll profess to care about the ‘unborn’, but seem to revel in the death penalty for the living and in the persecution of women.
Shameful really.
Sorry but your argument fails. The two are not morally equivalent. First, many prolife people are also against the death penalty. I’m not against it. People that murder made a decision. Aborted babies did no wrong other than not to be wanted. Tell me his the two are the same. Waiting.
So it’s OK to kill unborn babies but it’s not ok to seek the death penalty to someone who has murdered someone else? (often multiple people like serial killers?) THAT is hypocritical to me. Kill the innocent but let the guilty live. Huh…Shameful really.
Perhaps you would volunteer to take the place of an aborted baby and have your arms and legs cut off , your head crushed, then be burned in an incinerator to fight for your persecuted women!
Kelly, thank you for sharing this article. My heart breaks for not only the babies whose “mothers” never even give them the chance at life and those so called “mothers”, but also for those who make the choice to be so ignorant and blind to the issue. The comments that I’ve seen on here that challenge the facts or that support abortion for any reason other than risking the life of the mother make me just as sad. How can ANYONE be so blind as to think abortion is okay? How can anyone be so selfish? The only way I can understand it is to think that its not being clueless, its being hard-hearted and choosing to be selfish is its most horrible form. This is no different than murder except that our laws say its legal.
Yes, the Holocaust was a terrible event in history, but we’re talking about as many if not more innocent babies who never even have the opportunity to live – and that right is being taken away by the one person on this earth who is suppose to love and protect them the most. As a mother of two children, I would do anything it takes to protect my little ones. Who cares if making abortion legal makes it safer? If a woman knew that the procedure might not be completely safe, perhaps she’d think twice before committing such a selfish and brutal act!
(P.S. My own mother had an abortion before she had me. She attests to the guilt and pain that comes with having an abortion, and her’s wasn’t even a late term abortion.)
A few questions:
So if abortion were illegal, what do you expect this woman with twins that she didn’t want would have done? Decide that since it was illegal to abort her babies that instead she would love and cherish them, change her heart and decide to care for them as they deserve? No. Found a loving adoptive family to raise them? No, if she were interested in that she would have done it to begin with. She would have probably got an illegal abortion, which is more harmful for every individual involved and society as a whole. You can’t legislate morality.
You want the church to “do something”? How about not being so damn judgmental so that people like this feel like they can walk into a church and tell someone who can help the truth without being judged? How about offering understanding instead of criticism that not everyone can afford to feed the children they already have? Again, a problem that could be solved by the people in practically any church if those in need felt as though they weren’t being judged by all of you “holier than thou” who feel as though you make great sacrifices to provide for your family when you skip Olive Garden once a week.
Have you lost your patience lately in the grocery store line? Told a white lie to get out of an unnecessary obligation? Been unkind to your spouse? Neglected to pray for our president? Looked longingly at your neighbor’s new car? That’s right, people…. All of us sin, all of us fall short of the glory. And you think your sins are somehow “better”? Somehow “different”? Stones are flying…
Leah, calm down. She didn’t have to get pregnant but, she did. Just because a person decides to do something doesn’t make it right. If there are terrible things going on around us we can’t just sit by and find a way to condone it. People, christians, jew, athiests, everyone should be outraged! Murder is already a crime. It isn’t a “moral issue”. It’s just a crime.
I find it funny that you tell me to ‘calm down’ and then say that ‘everyone should be outraged.’ I am outraged. I am outraged that women who are making one of the most difficult decisions of their lives feel more accepted at some abortion clinic than they do asking for support or guidance from any one of the churches in their community. And why is that? Because of people like the ones here, who shake their heads, thinking only about ‘what sinners these women are’ without taking the time to have compassion or realize that they are obviously experiencing life circumstances much more difficult than their own. This discussion, to me, is not so much about the act of abortion-I think you would be hard-pressed to find someone who says that they ENJOY the thought of babies dying. For me, rather, it’s about the fact that so many people who call themselves Christian sit back and judge without thought of what these women need.
“What these women need?” so you expect us to consider what these grown women need (who, by the way, can think an act for themselves) and not take into account what the babies need? Have you ever seen the tools used to perform an abortion? Look it up, you’d be disgusted with what you are trying to defen right now..
Leah, most likely she would have had those babies and loved them just like she probably loves her other daughters. But say abortion were illegal and she had those twin baby girls and hated them. Does that make killing them before birth better? More moral? The problem is the hateful attitudes of adults who see babies as possessions who must have the right IQ, right number of chromosomes, right gender etc… the problem has never been the babies. Those two baby girls were innocent. INNOCENT. Can you understand that?
Your argument makes no sense. Thats like saying we should make rape legal so that men can rape women easier since they’ll probably do it anyhow. At least the men won’t get hurt while they do it.
You are completely ignoring the victim!!
The chances of the same woman loving these babies that she chose to abort is extremely slim. And naive. Yes, these babies were innocent. YES, she should have made this choice much earlier. Sometimes, the victims are the women or girls who got pregnant out of ignorance or violence. And we should focus our energy on better access to contraception for everyone and sex education. Don’t let people like Paul Ryan, who opposed emergency contraception for rape victims, win that fight. Don’t you see where we’re failing, here? PREVENTION.
I’m curious, do you have any kind of proof this actually happened?
What sort of proof would you require to believe, and would that proof be possible to get? Would you want a signed statement from the mom? I somehow doubt she would want to make her life exposed in front of everyone.
Would you accept statistical proof that shows X babies are killed every year when Y months old?
Perhaps you should visit an abortion clinic to see who is going in.
I am not sure what evidence you would accept as valid, and so the question seems like you are just trying to avoid trying to believe that babies are actually routinely killed at 6,7,8,9 months old…
I am the person she is talking with while this picture was taken. Yes, it is real, exactly the way it is.
You can find out the facts for yourself by looking up the abortion laws in your state. Many walk in abortion clinics can perform abortions up to 24 weeks legally(there are other exceptions that allow for abortions through the entire pregnancy to be legal also). Look at photo’s of yourself or others up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. Look at ultrasounds and scientific facts on the development of a baby each week up to 24 weeks. You can call any clinic and the workers with answer any questions you have regarding how far along they will do an abortion, the cost, the procedure, etc. in detail if you wish.
This mom is a small build and she was carrying twin girls. This was her 3rd pregnancy that we know of, by her own admission. Obviously her belly is very round and pronounced and she was only 20 weeks along. Sickening, yes. Real, un-photo shopped, yes.
Thank you Heather for being there & trying to speak TRUTH to this girl. You are a true hero!
Thank you, thank you for writing this blog post. Oh, how important! When a baby is aborted every 26 SECONDS in our country and over a million babies are killed each year (less than 2% of these are cases of rape and incest), this should be the biggest issue that we get involved with. Families are on wait lists for YEARS to adopt babies – there are real solutions to this horrific issue. But, people’s hearts must be changed. Keep up the great work!
How many of those people on wait-lists are there because they are looking for a healthy newborn and are picky about their baby? If you say they are not picky then I volunteer/lifeguard at a children’s group home where there are many kids that need to be adopted. Many of them have developmental or social disorders but I hope that these parents who can’t have kids on their own and look down on abortions wouldn’t be so low as to think these children are not worth a loving home?
Until we have solved the problem with all the children that are currently alive why does the church spend so much time on abortion? I understand and agree that abortion is wrong. But so are the societal problems that result in unwanted children being left to the government to take are of. Where are the people speaking up about these children? Who is speaking up for those kids who don’t feel loved because they can’t even find a foster family to take them.
Aaron, I agree with you that we Christians need to open our homes to needy children but the truth is that many are. My sister is seeking to adopt. She is open to special needs kids but unfortunately there is a bias against large families in the US and she and her husband were told it probably wasn’t going to happen domestically because they already have 4 biological sons. So don’t believe that Christians aren’t out there trying to adopt these kids.
And even if every single Christian in the WORLD refused to adopt special needs babies…how does it then follow that abortion is not murder?
Are you REALLY advocating the killing of disabled people before birth? Because it seems like you are, imo.
Of course, he is not advocating that. Let’s get something clear: NO ONE ADVOCATES FOR ABORTION. Pro-choice groups advocate for choice. There are too many kids out there who are unwanted and drifting. Or abused. Or neglected. Until you can fix the system, try to put yourself in the shoes of the pregnant women.
Exactly, I would never say abortion is good. It is wrong, period. But so are many other societal issues that we are ignoring. I’m not saying abortion is ok, what I’m saying is that the argument that welfare, adoption, and other programs are able to pick up the slack if a mother does not want or cannot provide for a baby is bogus. When people make claims saying that someone is evil because they are making a difficult decision or providing a difficult option is wrong and I will declare that loudly. Abortion itself is evil, but not the people who have or perform abortions. They are just looking for an answer to a huge societal sin that America has.
If any of you study theology you would know that societal sin is an interesting new object of study in helping to define universal sin. It is my honest belief that abortion comes out of the whole sin of the society and not just a few individuals looking for an easy way out. Abortion is the wrong answer to the sin that is already in society. Therefore just banning abortion isn’t going to cause the societal sin to go away. Children will still be starving, neglected, unloved. Parents will still feel abandoned by society.
My issue with the anti-abortion movement is that it seems like a crusade to put a bandaid on a very small problem. Abortion is a reaction to sin with another sin and it is silly to think the problem lies only in the reaction and not the initial cause.
A great article! My heart feels greatly burdened now after reading it… which is a good thing. Are you in the DC or VA area (standing outside Planned Parenthood)? Please email me. Thanks
That is very disturbing this is allowed to happen. Would it be possible for me to have the link to the newspaper this article was printed in?
God creates and recognizes life before we are even conceived…
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;…”
This makes my heart hurt. :’(
I think this is so wrong morally, ethically who could do this?? I know girls that have and I look at them like they r from outer space. I could understand if there was serious complications but I mean come on, that’s a human YOUR FLESH AND BLOOD. I want a girl so bad I can’t stand it .. I have a boy but I would love to have a girl too and for 5 months I have been off BC and nothing so my boyfriend asked I go back on till we r more financially stable. People make me sick.
We can make it about church, we can point fingers and say “you sin too” and we can make excuses for why someone did what they did, but the truth of the matter is that it is what it is: MURDER! For someone to say that it is anything else is only fooling himself. To say its a “woman’s right” is being ridiculous. We wouldn’t give a mother a free ticket to kill her children, regardless of the reason – she can’t afford to feed them, doesn’t want them, the child has a birth defect, ect. Its not within a woman’s right to commit murder and I can’t see how someone can believe that abortion isn’t that – especially late term when the baby moves, kicks and has hiccups, etc.
This story is so horrendous. I also thought they quit late term abortions. Nothing but evil doctors that are willing to perform these atrocities. No excuses could make this ok. So sad.
IF THESE WERE BABY WILD LIFE ANIMALS PEOPLE WOULD RIOT IN THE STREETS
SO TRUE- Oat. My question- reading this article is great. OH NO!! PEOPLE ARE HAVING BABY ABORTIONS!!! But- what the crap am I supposed to do with this article? I don’t know what to do. Tell me something to do, don’t just give me an article to read.
Where’s the church? Making daisy chains. Having banquets, fund raisers, weekend “events” that are culturally significant . Talking and talking and talking about the fact that they should do something but so busy with fluff they do nothing. Or very little. Perhaps the church is that sleeping giant!
I am childfree and very, very paranoid about pregnancy. As a result, I have looked into the possibility of getting a late-term abortion just in case I end up in a situation where I need one. And you know what? I haven’t been able to find any providers who offer them.
If you know someone who is providing late term abortions, prove it. Post their details here. Otherwise, I am going to assume you are making this up.
http://www.latetermabortion.net
I don’t understand how we can give that Peterson scumbag 2 counts of murder and the death penalty for killing his wife and unborn son but to these folks it’s another day at the office- i do not want to pay for this through obamacare and am tired of the liberals saying Planned Parenthood is for women’s health care- it’s providing abortions and I don’t think I should have to pay for them!
I think this is just sickening. I believe every woman who goes in for an abortion should be made to arrive several hours before the start of their own procedure and be made to watch another woman’s abortion before being allowed to have thief own. Not that any abortion is ok or should be allowed.
At 23 years old I was sexually assaulted and as a result became pregnant. I was burdened with shame and guilt and even as a Christian the thought of abortion crossed my mind. However, hearing the heartbeat for the first time and knowing that for some reason God had chosen to bless me with this little life inside me, I knew it wasn’t an option for me. It was a difficult pregnancy physically and emotionally. My son will be five in October. He is the spitting image of me and he is simply amazing. I can’t imagine missing out on any of his wonderful little life. It breaks my heart that people are so cold and desensitized that even after hearing a heartbeat and knowing the gender and seeing the sweet profile on ultrasound that they would choose death. Absolutely gut wrenching!
On the other hand…
This article and your movement makes such a big deal out of how important it is that these babies be born. On a gut emotional level I get it. It breaks my heart too, advocate of choice that I am.
On the other hand, the political party that most of you will likely vote for in any given election would through these babies to the wolves the moment they are born. The Ryan budget will gut the services that might give these kids a chance at a decent life, were they born. And if these mothers are so callus, perhaps its because they have lived in a world that has disregarded them, just as they disregard their unborn.
Just some food for thought.
How can I find out where and when late-term abortions are being performed in my area? My heart breaks when I hear your cry: “Where is the church?” But I, for one, don’t know how to join you.
